Physiotherapy restores movement and function to as near normal as possible when someone is affected by injury, illness, development or other disability. It speeds up the healing process and reduces pain and stiffness. Physiotherapy is concerned with maximising patients’ physical movement and function – we believe this is central to everyone’s health and fitness. It is a ‘hands-on’ treatment – we use physical approaches to promote, maintain and restore your physical, psychological and social well-being.

Ours is a science-based, independent healthcare profession, and a physiotherapist will use their own clinical judgement to diagnose your problem or injury. They can then use a variety of techniques – including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, acupuncture and electrotherapy – to treat your condition.

A physiotherapist will also help educate patients to prevent the recurrence, or even the onset, of a health problem. We work with you to make the best of your health and mobility.
